(Left) an acrylic painting I did from a photo of an installation piece by the artist Shirin Fakhim, (2008) and (Right) a mixed media effort, coloured card and acrylic paint has been used in this reclining nude semi-abstract picture.
Quick and crudely done ink drawing on paper.
Large canvas, acrylic.
Oil paint on wood panel, produced in (circa) 2000. It’s untitled, but I refer to it humorously as ‘Large nude reaching for an apple’.
Acrylic paint on canvas board, quickly painted, early January.
Acrylic and emulsion paint on panel wood, circa 2003. Another attempt perhaps of a cubist style of art.
Watercolour paint on cartridge paper. This is based on a photograph taken in the back garden. Some garden refuge covered in a tarpaulin held down by bricks. Although it is a representational painting, it has an abstract quality to it.
This painting was never finished and eventually painted over. Done in a cubist style, influenced perhaps by a Picasso painting ‘Three Musicians’. A large canvas and done in oils.
Pencil on paper. Obviously another attempt at Cubism, a simple pencil drawing heavily relying on light and shade.
Oil paint on canvas panel board. The painting depicts Hale-Bopp comet, (top left hand corner) visible that year and an impressive sight.
